Upcoming tree pruning workshops

 

This winter the tree commission will host not one but two pruning workshops! Learn how to prune your trees to grow straight and strong for long, healthy lives. The workshops will feature instruction from Barry Stahl, tree commissioner and pruning expert, as well as opportunities for hands-on practice.

 

1. Tree Pruning Basics

Sunday, February 2, 1:00 -- 3:00 pm

(Makeup date: Sunday, February 9, 1:00 --3:00 pm)

Meet at the corner of 28th and Taylor Streets

 

2. How to Prune Crape Myrtles (Properly, not Murderously)

Saturday, February 29, 1:00 -- 3:00 pm

(Makeup date: Saturday, March 7, 1:00 -- 3:00 pm)

Meet at the corner of 31st and Shepherd Streets

 

If the temperature is cold, please dress accordingly. In case of rain or snow, workshops will be held on the makeup dates.
